Why Choose Smart Move Estate Liquidation?
Smart Move is the mid Vancouver Island forerunner in estate liquidation. From her start in 2006 June has created a great reputation within the community. As a true professional she carries the proper insurance and licenses and values proper training, tools and experience. She provides service with respect and dignity ensuring that every item is valued, displayed and sold in its best form. An in-house appraiser assesses merchandise, eliminating the cost of a third party while achieving the highest prices possible. She has an established reputation for getting very high sale prices and selling over 90% of the items offered efficiently while maintaining a high level of integrity and character.
Each sale is treated the same whether it’s a small or large estate.
June has built her company on referrals and continues to grow the business every year by achieving the best possible reputation and providing outstanding service.
Community Support & Sponsorship
BMO Book Sale
Smart Move provides book donations in support of the Bank of Montreal’s (BMO) annual book sale and ongoing book table. BMO has been accepting books since 2012.
Here June Wood, owner of Smart Move Services Ltd, is at the Qualicum Beach BMO branch dropping off books to Branch Manager Holly Van Schouwen.
Revenue from the book sales benefit various organizations in our community, including the Salvation Army Children’s Christmas Fund. Books are purchased with a minimum donation of 50 cents.
Oceanside Stroke Recovery Society
Smart Move is more than pleased to sponsor the creation and maintenance of the OceansideStrokeRecovery.org website.
About Oceanside Stroke Recovery Society
Oceanside Stroke Recovery Society has been providing therapy to stroke survivors and support to caregivers in Oceanside since 1986. This area includes Parksville, Qualicum Beach, Nanoose Bay, Coombs, Errington, Whiskey Creek and the surrounding communities.
Our stroke recovery group has been operating as a volunteer organization in the Oceanside community area of Vancouver Island since 1986. We provide post-hospital support and programs for stroke survivors to recover to the best of their abilities. We offer exercise therapy, speech therapy, music therapy, art therapy, caregiver counselling, social and recreational activities and peer support, all designed to promote healing.
Oceanside Stroke Recovery Society is incorporated under the Societies Act of British Columbia and registered with Canada Revenue Agency as a charity organization. We are not affiliated with any other organization(s).
Our Board of Directors consists of 10 volunteer members. These include stroke survivors, caregivers and volunteers who meet once a month to plan our ongoing programs and manage the operation.
Never give up hope and never stop trying. We have seen with our own eyes that being determined to get better makes a big difference. You can keep on improving.
We provide the following programs for stroke survivors and caregivers:
- Speech therapy, one-on-one for stroke survivors with aphasia – weekly
- Exercise therapy for stroke survivors and caregivers – weekly
- Art therapy for stroke survivors and caregivers – monthly
- Music therapy for stroke survivors and caregivers – monthly
- Caregiver support led by a Registered Clinical Counsellor – monthly
- Outreach Liaison travels to Nanaimo Regional General Hospital to contact new stroke survivors from our community – weekly
- Peer support – opportunities for social interactions for stroke survivors, caregivers, family members, volunteers and friends, i.e. luncheons, pot lucks, picnics, coffee socials, breakfast meetings.
- Fellowship for stroke survivors, spouses, caregivers, friends and volunteers at weekly meetings.
We are very proud to give this great organization a website so that they can further reach out to the many people who can benefit from their many great services. Smart Move will also be paying for all costs to keep the site operating year after year. Thanks to Julie Russell of Billboard Web Services for her generous donation to help develop and launch the site.
